PowerScan PM9500-RT
With the durability of the renowned industrial PowerScan family, the PowerScan imager is now being introduced into the retail sector with a new series of Retail scanners. The PowerScan PM9500-RT imager is a cordless scanner featuring Datalogic’s STAR 2.0 Cordless System™ with high-speed 433 or 910 MHz radio communications. The rugged mechanics of the PowerScan Retail series guarantees reliable long-term operation in the retail sector. Repeated shocks at the POS checkout or outdoor usage do not inhibit the scanner’s performance or reliability, protecting the retailer’s investment. The IP65 rating further guarantees protection from damages caused by exposure to moisture. The STAR 2.0 radio includes Seamless Roaming and Two-way Communications.
The PowerScan Retail 9500 series is the first handheld scanner on the market capable of reading digital watermarks including Digimarc® Barcodes. This new application significantly reduces time at the checkout. Plus, product packaging that carries Digimarc® Barcodes can connect mobile-enabled shoppers with additional product information, special offers, recommendations, reviews, social networks and more.
Comprehensive upgrade from the wired version
If the PD9500 is the wired version, the PM9500-RT is a more comprehensive upgrade of the machine. This version has a little change from the PD but you will see the difference. And the upgrades below make this Datalogic reader worth buying even though the price of the machine is not cheap.
- The ergonomic design brings many functions to the Datalogic Powerscan PM9500-RT barcode scanner
- Datalogic and Star's wireless technology in frequency bands for machines combined with other types of information receiving devices.
- 3GLs and Green Spot technology help to read barcodes much better and at any angle to avoid missing codes. So if the barcodes are damaged or blurred than usual, this reader will not flinch. Machine-readable contrast is at least 15%, which is very good.
- The device is equipped to follow the mother-carrying style and at the same time charge the device and switch to hands-free or desktop mode. Make it easier for you to use. The base itself is also very light to hold or carry around. The base is only about 50 grams, the machine is about 380 grams.
- The use time of the device is very long. Common machines like Quickscan can last up to 8 hours continuously. However, this Powerscan barcode scanner product can be used for 10 hours continuously in a non-desktop state. Help you have more time to use and get more done in the day. The machine can do well without charging in the supermarket environment from opening to closing.
- The charging time is only about 4 hours.
