Perfect for both handheld and presentation reading, the GD4400-HC 2D imager features Datalogic’s Motionix™ motion-sensing technology which detects the natural actions of the operator to automatically switch the scanner into handheld or hands-free scanning modes. The Gryphon 4400-HC 2D readers can decode virtually any 1D and 2D bar code symbology and can read codes from LCD monitors, cell phones, smartphones, and other mobile devices. Enhanced optics offer improved motion tolerance and high-speed imaging to read fast-moving codes as well as the ability to capture images such as signatures, complete IDs, or prescriptions.
The Datalogic Gryphon GD4400-HC barcode reader is a medical version of the conventional GD4400. Compared to the regular version, the machine also has some improvements and a little different. Below are the differences and benefits that come from the differences not only from the normal GD4400 but also from other Gryphon medical devices.
- The readability of 2D barcodes is a marked improvement over the predecessor, 4100. Hard-to-read barcodes like the Aztecs should not be an issue with this reader either.
- The ability to control the scanning area is better than the 4100, the angle and roll can also withstand much better.
- The machine has a reinforced plastic shell around it, accompanied by resistance to bacteria and chemical agents.
- The weight of this machine is very light, only about 195 grams. While it doesn't weigh less than the original 169, you won't see a difference between them.
- Datalogic technology is present in all models to make reading and reading status easier. It is great for quiet or overly noisy environments.
- Works well with other peripherals such as POS calculators, desktop barcode printers or retail receipt printers. All of them can be used to print bills and quote patient status and expenses.
